Beta Navigation V.6
-
Sorry, can't find how to obtain the Beta V.6 Navigation Next...
Please, advise.
Thank you! -
Via the App Store (Apple) or the Google Play Store (Android), although I understand that the latter was not yet available.
-
De 6.0.0 - 515 is een sinds een paar dagen geleden gewoon te downloaden of je moet de app upgraden.(je moet dan wel betatester zijn).
De allerlaatste update is er nog niet. -

A few questions:- What is the name of the Beta Nav App in the Android Play Store?
- I guess a person who is NOT a Beta tester (I am) will not be able to sign in?

@LennyO The Navigation Next is NOT a separate app, but instead it is a built-in navigation module into the one and only MyRoute-app you already have downloaded.
To use the navigation module, called Navigation Next, one shall purchase a license to use it. See the regular MRA or beta(?not completely sure whether or not the beta website already has webshop fully in place) website. You may also start a 14 day trial from within the app itself.
Simply open an app, and press the Navigate button. If you do not have a plan in place yet, it should offer you the trial option.

The Navigation Next is also inside the beta, but also the public version already has the Navigation Next module in it, albeit not the latest version we beta users have acces to by means of simply having the latest app version (515 or 526)...

@Stefan-Hummelink Thank you, Stefan!
I have been using the Navigation Next for the past 3 years
and have a Lifetime Gold membership.
I am also a Beta tester.
My question is simple - how to ger V.6 for Android. -

@lennyo I sent you an PN yesterday with instruction.
Here again:
Tap on the app icon longer to get app info:
Open App Info
Scroll down to App Details
Tap App details.
You are now in the Google Play Store of this app. Then you should have an update.Or go directly into the app store and search for the MyRoute app
Tap on Info and look for Update. -

@Jörgen haha, sure, I know, but sharing the url though is faster than describing the playstore, right?

No Update option offered in Play Store.
Uninstalled and reinstalled, but got the same version 5.2.2 - 489...

@LennyO Does it say that you're a beta tester?
Similar to the image below which shows the status for me as an alpha (internal beta tester):

If the beta status is not there, the Google account you registered for this phone and thus play store, is not bèta registered and then you're stuck on V5 untill some date in november

@Stefan-Hummelink No, it does not.... I guess that's it!
I am a Beta tester for the Route Planner, but I guess it is a different access entitlement?
I assumed that once I am Beta testing the Planner, I would automatically be testing the Nav...
Guess NOT

@LennyO haha no! In fact, there is no such thing as a bèta for nav and the app separately ... The app bèta contains both of these since the nav is inside the app itself.

Bèta access to "the app" has started I believe 1.5 or 2 years ago already (do not pin me on it, Keeping track of time grows harder and harder when one is 35 years old
...) whereas the Beta MRA Routeplanner Next is very new and just recently announced as you are well aware of.
Routeplanner Next is the web part of the platform whereas the app , including nav, is the app side of the platform
In short: there are two beta's running "independently", but being in both gives you the ultimate beta experience.

I'm not very sure whether one can still enter the beta for the app, I believe one cannot.

@Stefan-Hummelink I see...... that was not made clear. Hope I can still get in, though Corjan mentioned early November for V.6 for all.

Beta testing for web and app are very different things indeed

That link shared here is only valid for those I activated it for. Just to prevent confusion I will delete that url from the post.
Currently not processing new beta testers for the app.
