IOS: App crashes 2-3 times a day (v5.1/5.2)
-
I had a 9h trip yesterday without any problems, everything worked pretty well, even in the mountains with bad internet connection ...
-
@Marinus-van-Deudekom No, there was no indication that there was no internet connection, nor was there any indication that the system had been temporarily switched to offline mode.
The error did not occur in the mountains either, but had already occurred during the journey in areas with good network coverage.
@Peter-Zehentreiter van you send in the logfiles in with a ticket to support. Long pressing the version number will get you the files

@Marinus-van-Deudekom Unfortunately, NO,
I was out and about as a tour guide with a group of 10 people. The focus was simply on keeping the system up and running

@Marinus-van-Deudekom On top of that, I’m trying to convince my colleagues of the benefits of MRA.
But I was constantly busy explaining the glitches to them and pointing out that we were working on fixing the problem.
So creating a log file was the last thing on my mind

But I'll try right now.

the „frozen“ waypoint also occured on my trip and coul not be skipped.@peter-zehentreiter
the „frozen“ waypoint also occured on my trip and coul not be skipped.in my case a temporary solution was stopping navigation and starting it at new (without restarting the whole application), the next waypoint was displayed correctly then. I observed such a problem once during my 7000 km trip.

Hi all,
My system, iPhone 14, latest IOS and Carpuride 702 (apple carplay).I’ve been traveling to Italië, MRA sends me off by every exit and leading me to next highway entry. So I reinstalled the app toggled with the settings avoid highway with no succes. No fancy routes just the city as target!
I’ve also tried to use MRA with routes that were made in MRA but is wasn’t working at all, hereby some analysis:
- on the highway is sends me off by every exit,
- when the route was following thru the mountains, it loses connection with the headunit. Sometimes only the icons of gos speed or/and altitude and next gas station. Sometimes also the screen became laggy or displaying a part of the card and route.
- I discovered that resetting of the Carpuride (power off/on) fixes the issue of the display. But I had to do sometimes several power off / on cycles!! This is not what I expect from MRA.
- I was fully dependable of my friends for navigation (they use tomton and Garmin) because mine was not reliable!
To mention I’m from the beginning ShopRite and user of MRA, stepped away from Tomtom and Garmin. But this is the most disappointing experience I had….
Hope that you can sort this out and looking forward to see a reaction!

I hope that all of you update to the last version, 474

Version 5.2.0-474
Android
Navigation via the app ONLY.Here’s a quick update on my 4 days in South Tyrol
On Thursday and Friday, I used online navigation for a total of 860 km; the navigation kept cutting out, the phone’s home screen would appear, and I had to reopen the MRA to continue navigating.I’ve now had two instances where the app apparently failed to recognise or register a waypoint.
For example, waypoint 10 appears in the top right-hand corner, but I’m already at waypoint 14. The navigation works, but waypoint 10 in the top right-hand corner cannot be skipped; the app doesn’t respond to any commands to skip this waypoint 10.
On Saturday and Sunday we also covered over 800 km, but this time entirely offline.
The app worked perfectly offline.
Track recording was not enabled on any of the four days.
Hi Peter,
Based on my experience with Version 5.2, I can confirm the issues you described.
Multiple crashes and freezing of the screen (waypoint stuck).
Best regards
️Axel
