5.0.0 (420) MRA Route Planner - Waypoint Placement Behaviour
-
@Corjan-Meijerink With the current 420 and previous 418 build there is a slight issue with where waypoints (both via and shaping) are placed when you confirm to add a waypoint at a location when using the MyRouteApp App Planner in the app. When you accept, the waypoint moves and if you then try to move the placement, then a double icon appears to be generated which cannot be placed and no update in position. This short screen video on my iPhone using iOS26 should show what i mean.

Video cannot be opened.

I can confirm that, it doesn't always happen but here you can see by way of example that there are the WP (5) twice ...?!
This happens when you try to place it better.

You need an MS account and additionally the app OneDrive from MS

I could look at it

There is a new build on it's way to beta. Ik can't reproduce this.

When I use the in app route planner the placement of the shapingpoints depends on the way you hold the device.
In my 8 inch tablet in landscape the placement is not 100% correct but still good enough the make the app work without any problem. Not 100% because I look at it on the level of the RoutXpert. That standard is higher than most of the users to.
In portrait mode however the placement is 100% correct. Not even our own Mr MRA would have any comments on those.
Closing the app with the arrow back results in closing the app. In reopening it the begin screen hangs. Then you'll to force closing the app before it will stay -
Hi, however, incorrectly set waypoints can cause problems when navigating.
So it should be corrected:e.g. here are the start to set a WP:

.and here the result:

Both are in portrait mode.
In landscape the WP are correct:

This was on the iphone, I noticed the same on Android tablet.
