@a.w.seaman A route with visible waypoints on your TomTom can only be exported as an .itn file using the MRA Connector and USB cable. You can send a .gpx track to your TomTom wirelessly via plan.tomtom. A track has only a visible waypoint at the start and end. You can also use the MyRoute-app mobile app to do this by going to Route lab. You’ll need Wi-Fi for the wireless export.

I too would like this multi-day planning feature. This would be great for our yearly tours.

I don't think Garmin is going to abandon the Zumo at all, after all, it does have it's place and they have released the XT3 fairly quickly after the XT2, which IMHO they weren't pressured to do (Nothing wrong with the XT2) They have however, abandoned Basecamp, which was, in it's time a very powerful planning tool, now however far superceded by MRA. I too have switched from a Garmin unit (Zumo 550) to a Android Auto Screen, a cheap Ali Express one for now, let's see how I like it (Or not). I understand that some of the more expensive ones do have thier own GPS and internal battery, maybe I'll go there later. Live traffic flow indicators, Incident reporting (Sabre, etc) and rain radar are features I'd like to see on any dedicated Nav unit. Which was my only reason to consider the XT2 when they came out. XT3 priced right out of reach for me....So off to a $80 Tablet!

An added benefit is that Google will expose closures that Garmin Traffic Services (or HERE notifications in MRA) don't even know about. I've found out the hard way that Google is the gold standard other sources will never equal. Catch these things early, and life on the road will be happier.

If you set navigation to start at route point 1 it will guide you to route point 1... Without repeating the complete manual, I can just hint you at longpressing the route punt you want to go to next, or if you are navigating (as) track, just longpress the route line a bit ahead from where you want to rejoin. Make sure you have offline maps available to prevent bad internet situations also.

@Marinus-van-Deudekom thanks for the hint - but never heart the word gearwheel before for the settings icon so it took a while to detect how toget to the waypoints. But now I think it's fine and a working workaround for this issue.

Offline navigeren kan minder precies zijn dan online. Daarom kan de blauwe lijn wat naast de weg komen te liggen

@superg Moet ik dadelijk een keer proberen met de routes die niet wilden lukken Had nu een andere route geprobeerd, maar ik gebruik eigenlijk nooit rare tekens in de naam van mijn route spaties wel tussen bijv de naam en D1 en de lengte van de route etc etc

Oh, ik zie dat de V4 ook via een update naar Android 13 is te upgraden. Daarmee draaien ze allemaal op Android 13. Op deze versie zou MRA gewoon goed moeten werken. Wat ik zelf altijd doe als ik veel vastlopers ervaar is de tijdstippen onthouden/noteren en de logfiles delen via een ticket.

Garmin Drive works perfectly for me when it comes to tracks and routes, now that I’ve replaced the latest version, v4.29.25, with the older v4.28.14.

So it seems after lots of mails back and forth that the problem came from a messy update policy at Carpuride. First they had OTA updates, which they then switched off themselves without notifying anyone. Then you had to download updates, but only for PC and on a flash drive. In my audiovisual profession no one has PC's, so there you go. After complaining, they suddenly turned OTA on and I could update the device. By then I had finally found someone with a PC, so I could also do the firmware update with the SD-card. Now everything is updated and for the moment works fine! Welcome to the 21st century...
