MRA Studio export speed
-
Hi,
I noticed that the export speed can be dramatically increased by moving the mouse within the Studio window.
Without moving the mouse, as shown in the video, it takes 30 seconds to export 1 per cent; moving the mouse speeds up the export by several per cent. -

Sorry the setting was not saved. Should be available now.

Wow! If you're not careful, you'll end up with mouse arm!

How is this possible?

How is this possible?
@Jörgen I tried to reproduce it on my MacBook, but I wasn’t able to. The counter starts running smoothly straight away.

Core parking could be the reason.
‘Core parking’ and CPU clock speed (most common)
If you don’t touch the keyboard or mouse for a while, Windows assumes you’re not at your PC.
• What happens: Windows tries to save energy. It reduces the CPU clock speed (throttling) or puts unused processor cores into deep sleep (core parking), even though a rendering process is running in the background.
• The mouse effect: As soon as you move the mouse, you signal ‘activity’ to the operating system. Windows wakes up immediately, lifts the power-saving restrictions, boosts the CPU clock speed, and wakes up the dormant cores. The rendering software suddenly receives full performance. -
But this should not happen when you start such a function, you expect a timely calculation / conversion to the new video result.
I also wondered about it days ago, it was just a short track 10km, it was way too slow for that. A track over 300km would probably take 2 days at the moment until the video is created.
So here is to be expected improvement, but is not the 1. Priority
. First, the beta version must be on the market.
