Use GPX Format 1.1 for export
-
Hello,
For the export of planned routes or recorded tracks to the BMW-CRA / the BMW-CRN, use the GPX 1.1 format from the MRA planning or the MRA-Next app.
Important for routes:
-
no more than 50 WP incl. start and finish
-
Routes that have a course like an 8 can be problematic at the overlap ...
Important for tracks:
- Tracks are well executed

But unfortunately that's all Via = forced points that's no fun

That's what you selected in the CRA, but you don't recognize the previously selected Via points from the planning in MyRouteApp anymore.

I know, because it is TomTom technology
-
That's why you need to use the track and not the route.
-
And it is a pity that the via points are not taken over for an MRA planned route, the route is the 1:1 solution, but the information about the via is unfortunately also missing.

Hey. Could we briefly summarize this again? I suspect I just had a similar experience today.
I’m using BMW ConnectedRide, and I created a GPX 1.1 route in MRA (42 way points,Tom Tom), making sure to add “via points” at very regular intervals. It ends up as a track (which is recommended) in my Connected Ride (don`t fully understand why it end up being a track in the NAV).
Unfortunately, during the last third of my track today, I was completely rerouted differently. The destination was correct, but the via points seemed to be ignored. Just verified it.
Based on what you described here, what is the likely cause, and what would be the best way to prevent this from happening? TomTom maps is responsible for what limitation? The ""via points" from MRA are not transmitted correctly to the Connected Ride? Thanks in advance.
