locking topics

sorry but a lot off topics are locked by mra members or mra it self

i accept that, but it gives no answer to discussion. discussion is closed because it is closed.

i found it very strange,

Feel free to share which topics are locked without good reason.

Personally I seldomly lock them. Only when things are going off topic or out of control.

i am not saying it is locked without good reason. i think the member that puts a lock on has to have good reason but it is not allways clear why and people can not react anymore.

out of control can be a reason but in some cases there is a good discussion and maybe it is not going any were but still good discussion.

what we now sometimes see that the discussion start over again in a other topic then has a other subject.

Maybe not a bad idea.
Some topics are obvious why they were locked. But not always
The person who locks a topic can give a short comment in the last post before he/she locks that topic.

I don't know which topic it was (recent one) but there was a topic which went sort out of control and your last comment was very clear about that. Then you closed that topic.
It is possible not everybody agreed with you but your comment was clear and made it understandable why it was closed.
I think that was a good procedure.

why i need to contact you. this is a open discussion about this topic.

using @ is maybe not custum to me and i do not understand.

i only want to make clear that closing topic is more that cut off discussion.

if a topic is cut off then in my primative world it must be clear why and explaned very well. if not you get soon or later the question again.

take example discussion about AA and why petrol stations are not there on the screen.
reaction was it is about google and apple. all went wrong.... totale out off control.

later real thing was it was a design because off limit option on screen and MRA did select other items to show.

that reason is far and good to know but it was not told at first moment of discussion and that made topic owner start to be negative and topic did close.

but if the right answer was given then discussion would maybe go in an other way. i say maybe because you never know.
