@Cookie-On-Tour This makes total sense, since 'navigation' is not possible for cycling or pedestrians because the HERE map does not have data for these movement categories.

The app can be used for walking or cycling but only in the 'Follow the line' method, where you simply open the route by clicking it, and then using the ' arrow' in the bottom right corner to track your location. By looking at the screen and your location, you can manually follow the line.
The map you see when you 'open the route' from the route info screen, is the OSM map, which does have walk-and cycling info! So plan the route in OSM in the online planner, and use this method to "navigate" for walking and cycling.
