Option to user other map for navigation?

Today, I tried to use a route with 2 ferries involved. Both ferries worked fine while creating the route, but when using the route, Here created long diversions to surpass these ferries
Have I missed an option to use e.g. OSM for navigation? The toolkit included ferries as available options, and also in Here the ferry stations where
officially marked.And yes, I could have used the track log option, but it would be nice to use the standard navigation logic with waypoints and therefor have reliable map system which Here seems not to offer.
