Symbol to indicate end of route

I find it very useful to know the distance & time to the end of a route, but sometimes I am not sure if the waypoint displayed in the bottom information box is in fact the end of the route or maybe just an upcoming waypoint. There is room for a symbol such as a chequered flag ( see screenshot) and this would make the destination information much clearer.

@David-Bonner although I like the idea, it also adds more clutter. The info box without icon is simply the end (default)

@David-Bonner, I think it makes perfect sense to have a finishflag there, since the other options also carry icons.

@Corjan-Meijerink , I would not call that clutter, but logic instead
