Restarting a route after a stop, skipping waypoints.
-
Hi All,
This weekend I was taking a longer trip with MRA Navigation Next. I had build the route in MRA of course.
When riding I switched on tracking when I went off the highway and started the interesting bit of the route. At my lunch stop I pauzed the tracking. After about an hour or so I went on my way agaiin. I got a message that an active track was there and if I wanted to continue (I saw my route on the screen) but when I clicked on yes the route was gone and only the two hours or so track that I had already ridden was there.Stopped that because that made no sense and restarted the route. But now I had to skip 33 waypoints (one at a time) before I could continue from where I was onwards.
My suggestion is that it would make sense to me (and the old navigation app had this) is to let me enter a number of waypoints to skip. Or even beter: let me continue with the route onwards. Of course I have no idea if this is easy to accomplish or not.

@Patrick-Roozen-0 this has already been done! On any screen (within the navigation) you can long press on a waypoint to continue from that waypoint

Edit: you are correct about the tracklog recovery. We allow you to continue your tracklog but wonโt automatically continue your navigation (after restarting the app) - this is something we wish to add but doesnโt have much priority (given how easy you can skip waypoints).

@Corjan-Meijerink Good to hear. Didn't know that and I have to admit that I didn't read all the posts on this forum (nor will I try to).
I'll give it a go this weekend. And I'll try to give it a go from the couch as wel

@Patrick-Roozen-0 I totally understand! Onboarding new users (and explaining stuff like this) will be something we tackle before the release!

The main idea is: you can interact intuitively with most stuff on the screen. Want to do something with a waypoint? Touch it! Want to change ETA information? Tap the box!
