Taking me the wrong way

Hi, I'm entering my home address as the starting point and a business I wish to call at, I know the way but using the Beta to get a better understanding on how it works, the shortest distance is approx 174 km, but since the last update it wants to take me a totaly different way turning the drive into a 283 km trip. Sorry it will not let me attach a screen shot.
Any thoughtsOld enough to know better, too stubborn to change

Any thoughts@Old-Dog-Arwon A screenshot would indeed help a lot.
My guess would be that some roads are not allowed in your settings. When creating a route, scroll down a bit and check if all roads are allowed
