@Vince-Hyde Avoiding highways is indeed already possible in the app. When loading a route from the website, the stored avoidance option from that route is used. You can change this again in the app (that change isn't stored back in the website). When creating a route to a destination (A-B), the settings used to generate the route are adhered to

@Corjan-Meijerink I have the same problem, except that in my case it usually occurs when I interrupt navigation (for example, because of a pause), close the app, and then want to resume.

@Hubert-Thoring, I think this happens when the app is trying a recalculation while there actually is an active internet connection, but it is too weak or timing out due to roaming (a "hop" between multiple antennas). This is part of the problem described here: https://forum.myrouteapp.com/post/35170

I last week also had the problem that the connection between my IPhone (14 with iOS 17) and my car (VW) was lost when I called "Siri". I could then only see MRA on my phone.

@Corjan-Meijerink No problem. Previously I would use the built in Android screen recorder, but recently due to the excellent stability of the app I don't really bother.

@Doug-Robinson yes thanks! We already added a requested internal change to verify the internet speed rather than checking if there simply is ‘a’ connection

Anyway, I just wanted to pass along this finding. I am not a programmer and have no idea how to do something like that, but I could imagine that after losing the GPS signal and after info of the map data, one is in a tunnel, that then a routine with the normal average speed drives through the tunnel, eventually a departure takes if necessary and one comes out so about the same time at the exit.

@Vince-Hyde, that is a valid point of course.
