Does anyone know a route from Courmayeur to Chamonix, NOT through the tunnel and NOT a detour of 150KM and 3 hours? This is a real bummer for our French Alps tour mid september...

Unfortunately, there is no other option.

Je zou skies onder kunnen binden, het is een fantastisch skigebied, zeker vanaf de Aiguille du Midi

Yeah, I was afraid of that...
I will have to rethink a route north of the Montblanc, and a seperate one south of it I guess.@Lex.Kloet.RX said in Mont-Blanc Tunnel closed Sept 1 till Dec 15 2025:

Yes, I have visited Aiguille du Midi some years ago. One of the most impressive sightings I have ever seen... The weather was bad, it was raining upside down! Very strange experience, probably due to wind blowing up hill.

I had snow, snow, more snow and even more snow and then the sky opens and remained blue for a whole week. From the Aiguilledu Midi ther is no slope, you just have to ski your way down. It was a marvelous sensational experience
