@Michael-Faha Versuch doch bitte mal das Telefon über ein kurzes USB C zu USB C zu laden.
Am Cradle einstecken und dann zum Handy, da reichen
5-6 cm Kabel.Ich hab damit nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht.
Keine Überhitzung und das Akku wird sogar voll geladen.
Es läuft bei mir die MRA App und Blitzer Pro im Hintergrund@Peter-Zehentreiter Hallo Peter, der Tipp mit dem Kabel war goldrichtig, Handy immer voll und Gerät wird auch nicht mehr heiß!! Komme gerade aus GB zurück und habe ausgiebig (11 Tage) testen können. Jetzt müsste die MRA nur noch über das WonderWheel steuerbar sein und alles wäre gut. Aber auch so war die Navigation sehr brauchbar.

@Michael-Faha Hallo Michael, freut mich das Du nun keine thermischen Probleme mehr hast und der Akku immer genügend Power bietet.
Ja die fehlende Unterstützung des Wonderwheel ist leider derzeit nicht gegeben...aber wer weiß was die Zukunft bringt.Ich habe mir deshalb den SilverFox Controller C1 gegönnt und bin damit super zufrieden. ( Wenn es Dich interessiert suche mal im Forum nach C1.)

I believe the reason some experience power related issues while others don't is outside temperature. The southwest US is not northern Europe. It gets consistently hot here for several months each summer. Consider the German motorcycle tourist who died from heat exposure (earlier this summer) while riding in Death Valley.
My iPhone 14 will charge with a USB cable, but will consistently stop charging because the battery gets too hot. The screen then sometimes dims, which makes the reading the screen almost impossible. It's simply not heathy for the phone even if I ignore the situation.
The app is very good. It's the closest phone app I've found to functionality in the Garmin XT. It's not a fair comparison in functionality since the Garmin is a full-feature standalone GPS. But again, MRA is remarkably good.
So for the time being I don't use it. I'm watching carefully what's happening with the HERE saga, and hoping there will be a solution at some point.

Try using a smart display with CarPlay/Android Auto, its great ! Phone will not overheat as the screen is off and cools down while riding in the jacket pocket.
