Newbie wanting to know about route printed to pdf file

I done several routes and have downloaded and printed to a pdf file and all is good. But I just did a route and the waypoint distances are different then what is on the computer screen. Not sure what is going on. Any help would be appreciated.

@Janice-Jorgensen I think the calculations for the .pdf use the OpenStreetMap, so if you used either the TomTom or HERE planning map for your route, this could account for the difference.
