MRA route transfer to goldwing 1800
-
has anybody an idee how to transfer MRA routes to a Honda Goldwing
-
@joost-steenbergen I have no idea about uploading routes for the Goldwing, but the manual suggests that a usb flash drive can be connected. It may be possible to upload your routes to a flash drive and then connect via this socket?

@Nick-Carthew This should do it:

@Drabslab Yes, apart from the fact that the video refers to a route from Rever! But I would imagine that a .gpx 1.1 route created in MRA and uploaded to a usb flash drive would give the same results.

That is what I thought as well.
A file compatible with gpx1.1 is just that, independent of which tool has created it.
He can simply skip the REVER part and just look at the second part on how to transfer from USB to GoldWing.

@Nick-Carthew It is just &"r'(è§é"§"è!ç&çé"!çà annoying that all those manufacturers keep inventing their own "standards" and leave it up to the final users (or the smaller companies squeezed in between) to sort out the mess.
I guess that my next GPS (when the TT400 dies) is going to be a rugged tablet with MRA Nav. That cuts out at least one layer of complexity. Just a pity that MRA Nav only works on android and iOS?
Have you ever experimented with a windows 10 compatible USB GPS receiver?
-
@Drabslab I use a TT Rider 500 alongside my MRA Nav on my Iphone 11. I'm happy with both and by using two different systems, I have a backup should either one fail (touch wood, after thousands of miles, neither have let me down).
I haven't tried Windows 10 as I haven't got a long enough cable! -
The new Goldwing could only handle 8 WayPoints, there was an update and now they can handle 99.
Save the route on an usb drive and transfer them to the boon boom box.Take a look here
