MyRoute-App on IOS (IPhone 10) not transmitting audio directions on Sena 50S / 20S into helmet?

@Thomas-O-Shea I also use a Sena myself and have no issues with receiving voice instructions simultaneously with listening to music or incoming phone calls (of course incomming phone calls have priority over the voice instruction). Could it be that you've placed your waypoints too close to intersections or roundabouts? In that case, it's possible that the voice instruction is being overridden or only partially spoken. This is due to a bug from the map provider Here.

@Rob-Verhoeff No they are spaced out quite a few miles and typically not at intersections or traffic circles. I have riding peers with same issue.

@Thomas-O-Shea I have had a similar problem recently. This was related to my BMW interface with my phone. The initial cure for me was to either 1. Close the itunes music app or 2. Play some music and then in the music app change the speaker output to my BMW connection instead of to the Sena direct. Since then with more fiddling I have deleted my iPhone bluetooth connection to Sena and now the phone solely transmits to the bike and the bike then transmits to the Sena. Hope these makes some sense and might help. Basically check within the music app where Airplay is throwing the output to and don't have two different bluetooth connections trying to tramsmit the same sound. Mine now works well a I get music and instructions into the Sena speakers.

@Stephen-Rowland Thank you Stephen. I did figure out that when I was NOT communicating to another Sena and simply using it in bluetooth to my iPhone audio worked. As soon as I connected another Sena user on Comm the MyRoute-App stopped audio. I don't use my TomTom GPS as the "repeater" for my audio but that may be a way to fix it thank you.

@Thomas-O-Shea I no longer use Sena or other products. Since 2 years, I have been using Apple's own earphones especially AirPods Pro (2nd generation). That works fine. You can easily switch between a summer helmet and a winte helmet or use them outside motorcycling.

Do you have "Auto-Multitasking" enabled on your Sena headset(s)?
-
@M-Schrijver Yes I do. Do you agree with that? I updated firmware but then read you also have to "factory reset" the Sena which I've just completed. I hope that will help.
I await your response of recommendation to activate or deactivate Auto-Multitasking. I've read conflicting feedback on which way to go but I at least know to look here, Thanks

Yes, i agree.
Audio- Multitasking helps reducing switching between bluetooth channels. Which improves the stability of the headset. -
@M-Schrijver got it thx. I will keep it active and see if Sena BT acting up or not. Wonder if use of iphone vs. android potential difference too. Let's see thx again
