Updated beta v4.1.1 (295)
-
Hi all!
An updated beta is coming your way
For iOS it will be available any second now.
Android probably somewhere tomorrow.There are two changes regarding the previous beta:
- Now older Android devices are actually supported again and the map should load as expected on the home screen / during navigation.
- More detailed feedback for us regarding the navigation map incidentally not loading on iOS / Android but no, this is not yet solved.
Regarding the automatic waypoint skipping there are no changes compared to the previous version.
Once we get confirmation this version works again as expected on the older Android devices (8 / 9), we will probably start releasing this to public.Best,
Corjan -
@Corjan-Meijerink IOS available now.

@Corjan-Meijerink will the constant crashing messages be eliminated when using CarPlay?

@Jan-Weerheim dank!

@Corjan-Meijerink I was out for a full day of riding yesterday, MyRoute-app worked great. No real issues but a few observations:
- Voice prompt was occasionally missing or garbled. This may be caused by other apps and alerts on the phone. Will have to pay attention.
- The auto zoom seems to have changed in recent updates. I find the zoom level is several hundred meters (seems to vary in and out) until you reach 90 kph. Then it jumps out to several Kms! If you're traveling at about 90kph this can result in the screen zoom jumping in and out. Very confusing. A smoother operation would be nice.
- The next fuel station display does not work when in offline mode.
Overall the app works great keep up the good work. With all the AA and CP issues I'm glad I don't have them.

@RetiredWingMan happy to read that! Thanks for the feedback

Just rode my motorcycle for two days. Still learned from my mistakes in MRA.
- my laziness in not adding extra points led to different choices in MRA on my smartphone than the track on my Garmin (always displayed).
- the sound on my smartphone is not loud enough when I'm driving and the “subtext” of my waypoint is spoken. That's because my earplugs seal well
- MRA corrects very well if you drive incorrectly. It then routes to the route
- Still, I often don't have a map on my iPhone when I navigate “online”. So I have to turn on “offline” and then have no traffic information.
- spoken navigation information was sometimes absent
Over all, I'm very happy with MRA and I'm looking forward to further development!.
