Delay showing route while navigating. Too far behind from reality
-
Hi everyone.
I have search for this issue, but I didn't see anything reported.
First let me give you all some context.
I love the web route planner. I have used other route planners, but this is the one that I liked most.
Regarding navigation. If I am just commuting from point A to B, then I'll use Google Maps or mainly Waze, because it gives me more realtime information, like traffic, hazards, etc. And it works great.
For motorcycle touring travel, I use OsmAnd. And sometimes, when I feel the need to do a small circular route, exploring new areas or just destress, I use the Riser app. And it works great.
But because I like so much the MRA web route planner. I decided to try and use MyRoute-app. A - for following a planned route designed in yhe MRA web route planner and B - to do a small Round trip. And it's not working as expected.
1- There is delay showing route while navigating. For instance, I have to turn in the next junction. Or I have to exit on the 3rd in the roundabout. My position in the map, shows me before entering the roundabout, when I am actually, already exited the roundabout.
2- Because of this delay, I miss the exits and turns. So the app immediatly starts to recalculate the route. And it eithers fails, constantly, even if I manage to return to where I was supposed to be, or it immediatly forgets the route that he had planned and just gives me the direct route to my finnish (start and finnish are the same, since it was a planned roundtrip route) point.
Does this situations only happen to me?
If so, is there anything I can do to fix it? Maybe some settings configuration?
Thank you so much in advance for any advice on this. -
@Joaquim-Machado the delay problem affects some users. Suspect a problem with HERE SDK and may be related to battery usage. Some users have found that running a GPS app such as Speedometer in the background significantly smooths out and improves the tracking.

@RetiredWingMan There's so many apps called Speedometer. Can you tell me exactly, which one is it?
-
@Joaquim-Machado yes, there are many. I didn't try them all. This one is what I use. I can shrink it down to a small window and move it around.
You start app, wait for the ad to finish, start the app and then go to settings and turn on Window mode. It may also work just running in the background.

@RetiredWingMan Thank you. This weekend, I'll try it and then give my feedback.

@RetiredWingMan Hi. Good morning.
It helps. It's more accurate.
But I don't know if it is because, the use of speedometer. But the app, yesterday was a lot more unstable. Crashed several times.
Thank you anyway for your help/tip.
