Side By Side Test

On a recent trip to Wales Me and a friend both use Samsung S20FE and have Cardo Packtalk Bolds playing Spotify music and MRA Nav running, I use Quad lock wireless charging and am a Beta tester and he charges via a cable from a USB point and he uses the public MRA Nav, we both set off with 100% charge and when we arrived 6 hrs later he was still on 100% and I was at 28%.
I know wireless charging is not as good as wired but the old MRA Nav running all the same would stay on 100% all day with wireless charging.

@Vince-Hyde, if you are a beta tester (you obviously are) you would know about the issue with battery drain, and that it is a problem in the HERE platform. You already gave the reason why it was no problem for your friend on a cabled USB charger.
It is being worked on, but HERE obviously is not as fast as MRA Devs

With all else being nearly equal over 6 hours, a drop 75% of the battery suggests the MRA power usage is just a little more than the wireless charger can supply (usually 1.5 amps?). If you didn't charge it would have probably lasted 2 hours or so.
Not a good result, but as Con says, it's being worked on, and is I'm pretty sure the top priority right now, but not directly in MRA's control.
You could temporarily consider connecting the USB cable directly to your S20FE which would probably give you 2 amps, depending on the charger/adapter. And then compare.

@Con-Hennekens I do fully understand the charging problems, my post was to point out that although HERE has a charging issue using identical setups if you charge from your USB point on your bike you may not have an issue and what I got from it was that I can take the cable from the wireless charger and plug it in my phone and keep the charge.

@Vince-Hyde, that is a valid point of course.
