Weak mobile GSM Signal

Morning,
this is what it looks like when the GSM signal is weak. (see top right corner)

(A street short before Arcen.)

Shouldn't it automatically switch to the offline maps here? NL was downloaded.

The map screen comes back later when the signal was better.

@Jörgen If you have even the slightest notion that your internet connection might drop, such as when entering an area with weak signal, it's wise to start offline navigation right away. It shouldn't be necessary, but I navigated offline for a few days in the Black Forest at the end of May. The only thing you'll miss is the traffic information, but I didn't need that much there.

If you are not navigating, the free part of the app shows the OSM map. There is no facility for downloading those offline I am afraid. There have been rumors about a free-driving mode. But when that is added, it will be based on HERE maps for (almost) sure.

Arcen is a beautiful village! Do you live in that neighborhood, or are you on vacation there?

@Jörgen, Nice, I live in the Roermond Area. Would it be fun for us to visit Ellys Bikertreff some day? I must put that into a tour, I hear it's a nice place.

@Con-Hennekens yes, we can meet somewhere. I haven't been by Elly yet, just drove by a few times. I don't find it that inviting. There are nicer biker places.

@Jörgen, Haha, I was merely informing if you know the place I might drive there for lunch some sunday. I was told about it by some hotel owner in the Eifel (I think it was Malberg). If I think about it, I will inform you when I go there. On our Eifel trips we often drive by Biker Ranch Simmerath for lunch. That's a really nice place for bikers.
