Banners top and Bottom of Screen
-
Hello
I have a 6inch phone and use it in landscape. When navigating there is a permanent blue banner at the top and bottom of the screen that takes a third of the available screen height.
Is it possible to remove these? I do not need to constantly see the street name. -
@Angelo-Greco please see the Navigation settings > Screen layout
Turn off the upcoming street for example. -
@Corjan-Meijerink I can't see that option V1.6.12 ?
-
@Angelo-Greco, That's the old Navigation app, NOT the beta of Next in the MyRoute-App Mobile app...
-
@Con-Hennekens , Argh! yes it is my fault, confused again
Apologies, I have now removed the old app -
@Angelo-Greco, If you want to be able to use the old Navigation app as a backup to the beta, until the platform is deprecated, it is wise to keep it installed. It will disappear from the playstore pretty soon, and then it will be too late to re-install.

Are you still an existing user when you deleted the app from your phone?

Yes, if you bought the app in Play Store. No purchase, no go!
Here's how:
Play Store
--> your account (top right icon)
--> Payments & subscriptions
--> Budget and historyScroll to find the app -> View -> Install
I went back and got one that I bought in 2010 but was unpublished in 2013.

@richtea999, Good to know, but I just keep asking questions Does a free app equal a purchase? You can't use it without a subscription, but from Google's perspective it is a free app.

@Con-Hennekens you can purchase the Navigation subscription from the play store directly Then it will appear there as @richtea999 said
