Updates HERE map

Are the updates to the HERE map always the same / as accurate as those in the HERE WeGO app?

@Mopetenpit route calculation is always the newest. Map images (the actual visual overlay) around every few weeks. They don’t change that often.

@Corjan-Meijerink, Just curious then, why we so often see updates to the offline maps available each few days?

@Con-Hennekens good question and I’m not totally sure how they are related.

New SDK versions allows using newer maps. I guess these are major/minor versions. As example: 2.x
Offline maps update also fetches the newest world catalog within I guess that major/minor version so you would end with example version 2.x.y.

Something like that?

Note: the catalog update is instant (give or take a second). However the update also downloads the newest maps of the regions you have offline and that takes way longer.

The known issues with this will be worked on in the coming week.
