CarPlay Auto Dark Mode Not Working?

I tested the new app using CarPlay tonight. My phone is set to "Automatic" in the App Theme settings, however when it got dark, neither the phone or the CarPlay car screen changed to dark mode.

I waited until it was very dark just to be sure and then manually changed the phone to Dark Mode. The phone screen changed, but CarPlay remained in light mode. I was unable to get the CarPlay car screen to change off of light mode.

I'd need to try several times to be sure it's a bug, but in the mean time, is anyone else getting the same results?

Or am I perhaps missing a setting somewhere?
