Route sticks to Highways/Motorways…
-
Im trying to plan routes in France and Belgium using Here maps for my Garmin, but when I check avoid highways, it won’t change.
I tried it for UK roads and it changed.
Is there something I’m not doing right?
Thanks,
Robert. -

It might be worth making your France or Belgium route public and providing a link to it.

@steve-lynch thanks for the reply Steve.
Here’s the route. It’s stuck to the N13

@robert-shaw N-roads in France, Belgium and The Netherlands aren't classified as highways/motorways, only A-roads are. N-roads are part of the national road network and are usually wider/busier roads connecting larger towns, but they are not highways/motorways. If you want something more scenic for your trip, you'll have to add more shaping points yourself or let MRA help you by setting the Windingness or Hilliness&Windingness options (on the TomTom map).

@herko-ter-horst thanks for your help.
Annoyingly Google maps does recognise the difference. So that might be easier as I’ve 11 days worth of rides in France and Belgium to organise, so I would have much preferred MyRoute.
