Follow a track mode not available!

Morning,
I have just realized that version 5 is no longer usable for our club.
We accompany and support rolling events, parades, cycling events, etc.
To do this, we use a track provided by the organizer and follow this track in follow mode on the OSM map.
Normal navigation does not work this way because the roads are usually closed (by online traffic information), you drive on paths that are not suitable for traffic, or you use roads in the wrong direction.
This has always worked perfectly for this so far.
But this function is no longer available (at present) in version 5.
So we can not use MRA for this any more.
I think many people have also used this function for off-road driving.
I did by supporting a gravel bike race in the woods.
I am not sure how important this is for others, but for me/us, this is a significant loss of this function.For your understanding of this kind of mode.
Old Version <V5
Pictures are to be read from right to left. (this track use some pedestrian paths)
- Load the track
- Tap Open Route (not navigate)
- Tap the with compass
- Tap compass again (to get 3d view)
- Follow manually the track
- The map will move e.g. will follow you
