MRA Navigation App: Search on devices with Android 9 not possible since update
-
I updated to v1.6.8 today. Now the search no longer works. I get a message that the app needs access to location and storage. However, both permissions are granted. Doesn't work on both devices with Android 9. The search works as usual on my device with Android 11.

Thanks Christian for the post. The same problem with my Android 9 Nokia. Android 11 is only working, when you set access to „always“. I prefer „when in use“.
I guess that this has also impact on the navigation function itself (device was not able to recalculate route / start at next point) on my A9 device. -
The same here at my Blackview and Android 8.1
I have set access rights to files and location. But the problem exist anyway. The routes from MRA are working.I think there is a bug in the current app.

I forwarded it to the developers.

@Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master
Hello Hans,
Thanks!
I tested the following things:
Reinstalling the app is unsuccessful. The error regarding the unavailable search also persists after the reinstallation.
The routing works perfectly. I drove a test lap, skip route point, start the route from the next route point and start the route from a certain route point works. The route is recalculated as quickly as usual. The point of view is recognized perfectly. Offline navigation works and all maps are on the SD card.

@Matt-Flaming said in MRA Navigation App: Search on devices with Android 9 not possible since update:
v1.6.9 brings back search on Android 9. I hope it can actually route me somewhere now, since I tried to use it last weekend to run a pre-made route, and it failed before the first waypoint, and then I tried to let it route me home and it just kept crashing.
In defence of MRA; there are so many different operation systems, flavors of operating systems and settings on individual devices, that it is very difficult to have an app that works under all cicrumstances.
Of course, this doesn't help you much, let's hope that the next iteration is more stable.
