@Stanisław Yes, that's exactly how I do it. I don't charge all the time anyway. The battery life is sufficient, even for longer tours. If it really needs to be charged, I charge it with a cable.

@Motobummler Could you estimate how long would it work with MRA navigation NEXT without charging? Let's say 6 hours or rather 3?

@Stanisław I would say up to 3 hours is a real value

@rinie-Van-baardwijk I use the holder2.0 with the expand holder.
        See Holder 2.0

This looks like a very nice and sturdy holder. Do you use it with the Oukitel RT3 or other tablet?
        And any downsides?

@Stanisław said in Successor for the well-known Oukitel RT2 outdoor tablet is coming.:

@Motobummler what about the battery? There is no wireless charging, do you unplug the cable each time you enter to rain?

I have never unplugged my charger in rain (or when cleaning my bike)
I have a cable from Quadlock and the make a pretty nice seal beween the plug itself and my phones.
And I'm not that scared of water in my device. Specially if its IP68 rated device.

It could be a solution, I have it also but connected to the Quadclock mount with my phone. Thanks for the suggestion.

@Ralph-Janssen yes I have the RT3 Tablet. The holder is very sturdy, all in stainless steel. I am very happy with it.

Groeten.

My RT3 runs about 3/4 of a day tour with MRA and on battery. On a longer trip with some days, it is always connected to power, to have a full loaded tablet in the room in the evening.

@Jörgen It seems ok in most cases, it is not very often go go 10 hours in heavy rain but shit happens 🙂 I would rather like to have a rain independent solution, so the quadlock supplier could be good and not very expensive one.

@De-Keyser Yes, wired charing is better but not comfortable when you have to unplug it every time at a gas station etc. That's why the holder 2.0 seems interesting, I will consider it.
