Favorites Sync - Offline Access?
-
With the build 4.3.0 - 331, the general sync is working brilliantly but I have noticed a potential issue with the Favorites ‘sync’ (if that is what is happening) when I try and access this area within CarPlay.
On selecting ‘Favorites’ under the ‘Search’ Sub Menu when in CarPlay, I receive the spinning icon pause as the app appears to be syncing. I had 1 bar of signal from my mobile and it took at least 30 secs before my Favorites appeared. Not sure what is happening during this time but I have not experienced this pause with Favorites before until this last build and the sync implementation. Should this be the behaviour of the app as the app had not gone offline and moreover, what would happen if offline?
Just thought I would raise my repeated experience with this build as this was not something I have seen before until this latest build. Nonetheless, I really am loving the general sync behaviour - works brilliantly.

@Dave-J-0, Is this reproducable? Does it take such a long time to show the favorites always? When I change a favorite in the webplanner, it immediately syncs correctly, and it does not take longer than usual to open the favorites menu...

@Con-Hennekens It is consistent for me through CarPlay (not through the app on the phone) only since the latest (331) build. This appears to be a CarPlay only issue and does not appear to be related to the mobile signal when I am ‘out and about’. Need to do some testing but it happens for me all the time now with CarPlay.
Changes to web planner and the phone happen correctly with the sync but the list loading is very long with CarPlay.

@Dave-J-0 Tried using CP in my car as well, but connected it via cable. No delay at all in the synchronization of the favorites.

@Rob-Verhoeff Rob, I am connected via cable in the Car and the problem happens for me every time with 331 build. I will do some more testing on the bike with wireless CarPlay later.

Decided to delete and reinstall the app and so far, the sync appears to be working correctly. I will see what happens over the next few days. I am off into Wales and the valleys where I will struggle with signal.
