Hello from a new user impressed with this forum

Hello guys, the help I have received on this forum has solidified in my mind that I chose the right route planning software. Wow, I posted a question needing help on a problem and had instant help from many. I have belonged to some forums on other things and it takes days to get an answer to a question. Thanks to everyone who has helped me and I look forward to learning how to use the software and navigation app. Have a great rest of the weekend.

@Mike-wiruth Welcome. I have been using the forum and software for years and I have found nothing that comes close with regard to help and support. The Dev Team are brilliant in listening to users and a refreshing change from my experience with other companies.

hi @Mike-wiruth
yes this forum is extremely helpful, some do things one way, others another way.
it all works out in the end, as you read in the other thread, shaping/via/way points are your friend, especially placement of such, ensure actually on the road, not near junctions/roundabouts or on bridges, and on correct side of dual carriageways, the compare tool is helpful.
search the forum for help on this, or just practice and play about with the planner, you won't break it.Just for info, I don't want to go into too much detail.
The time from start to finish may differ with each route type, i.e. tomtom, here and OSM.
I recently planned a route and when I switched to OSM, it showed the route as being 1h 20m less than the other two, changed from 6h 50 to 4h 30 this is just something to be aware of. -
@Mike-wiruth nice to hear.
