A very strange issue
-
Hi,
some one from Austria send me a screenshot with a message, see pic.
The Text on the white lines.

I ask him where this is. It is below "Enzersdorf im Thale" surrounded by the B40.
I tried to find it, but can not see it on my PC.My screenshot:

And his screenshot:

How is this possible and where are these strange messages are coming from?
Is it only visible in Austria?
I tried it an a windows PC with Chrome browser and on iphone, all with openstreetmaps.
Ah, he is using the free MRA version.

@Jörgen It's something to report to OpenStreetMap I think, Jörgen. Someone has managed to add road segments to the map data, and maybe there's no pre-publish checking since OSM is free.
It doesn't appear for me, so maybe someone else has already reported it, but an additional report would not do any harm.

Try a VPN server and connect to an Austrian server. See what happens.
It doesn't solved anything but it makes clear what happens. What kind of road is this.
When i compare the 2 screenshot i see some strange roads. Is it militairy is something like that? -
Hacked maps...? That's a new one...
I assume your Austrian friend is not this Andy, is it? -

@Jörgen yeah, thanks for reporting! We’ve got multiple reports about this. Something with OSM

Open sourced stuff is nice but this kind of abuse sometimes can happen.
