New Beta! (v4.0.7)
-
Hi everyone
Your highlight of the month! A new beta is on the wayThe contents of this beta won't be much of a surprise for you. With the recent website update supporting truck & ev mode, this beta update is within the same scope.
Support for truck / ev
Enter your vehicle dimensions for truck / ev!
Choose any of the now 7 available modes to use the app how you like!Note:
- Navigation is only available for vehicles that aren't a bike or your own legs
- Generating routes is not possible for big vehicles (motorhomes / trucks)
New avoid options
As in the website, the app now has more avoid options!
When creating an (AB) fastest route, you can now also avoid environmental zones This is of great use when driving vehicles that aren't allowed to enter these. If you avoid environmental zones, they are also indicated on the map.
Previously you could not avoid unpaved (dirt) roads when creating curvy / scenic routes and roundtours. Now you can allow / avoid these!
Automatic EV stops
The app takes your EV parameters into account and will adjust your route to automatically stop at a charging station. These stops are indicated on the map!
Tapping the displayed POI will show the name of the charging station. As I configured my EV to only allow Tesla chargers, you see that the planned stop is a Tesla supercharger. Long pressing the POI will force add this as a stop to your route. You don't have to do so as the app will continuously suggest efficient charging stations based on your route / entered battery parameters
When configuring your EV vehicle, you can also ensure that the app prevents you running out of charge. If this is enabled and you are driving somewhere remotely / your ev parameters are not configured properly, you might not get any valid routes.
Nearby fuel / ev stops
If you are driving in EV mode, the suggested / nearby fuel stops are changed into charging stations You also can't search for a quick fuel station but you can for a charging station.
Warnings
The warnings have been expanded!
If the app has no possibility than to send you over an avoided road this will now be indicated on the map. When tapping the warning, you will get more information about this violation. When approaching the violated road, you will also see a warning.
This is especially useful for trucks. They will most likely encounter such violations. However, if you hate unpaved roads and avoid these but there is no other option than to take a gravel road, you will also see such a warningBluetooth controllers
- Support for Carpe Iter BT controllers More information / videos about this will follow
- Support for alternative SilverFox firmware
- Prevent app crash when long pressing certain BT controller buttons
Minor changes
- When selecting a new voice from the app, your language will be displayed on top.
- Newest HERE SDK 4.16.3 (no existing issues have been fixed by them )
- Offline map updates are available again
- Prevent speedlimit 0 warning being displayed in CarPlay / Android Auto
What's next
Most of our time is dedicated to major stability updates to the app itself and CarPlay / Android Auto.
I'm also in touch with HERE about the issues we have and finally got up the chain to people that will be able to help us more appropriatelyBest,
Corjan -

Due to the new truck / ev mode, we forgot to properly test the existing camper mode This is currently not working as expected.
An updated version is coming today!
-
@Lynchy67 Great! We will test the CI Adventure Controller and CI BMW Controller next week
-
@Corjan-Meijerink great. Hope your contacts at and with HERE will soon lead to significant reducing the battery usage.
My s21fe with quad lock wireless charge can barely keep up, with everything at minimum and in dark mode.
-
@Edwin_M which charger model are you using? The USB powered is 10w while the direct wired is stated as 15w.
-
@Doug-Robinson USB, I would expect that 10W should be enough.
-
@Doug-Robinson after installing the quad lock 12v to 5 volt adapter, I am now able to charge wireless, also in using the app in light mode and using satelite.
The standaard usb output in the ktm sas 1290 can not provider enough power it seems. -
@Corjan-Meijerink Hi,
Is it possible to implement an option to choose the language of the app (only written: menus, options etc) instead of it following the system one? Thanks
-
@Francisco-Castro for now there isn’t.
The reason mainly being is that on iOS and very soon / with the latest Android you can select the language per app directly from the app settings for that app on your phone.
-
@Corjan-Meijerink Yes, on Android 14 I can do that but only for a few apps.
Thanks

There stil seems To be an issue in 4.0.7-239 on Android that makes the music channel volume return lower than it was before a signal (like speed camera or 'trajectcontrole') was given.
It does work ok with the navigation instructions.
