Using Navigation on Android Tablet

Hi, I use a 10.1" Joying Android head Unit in my camper and have two issues:

1. Navigation keeps closing down when in use (doesn't happen with any other program - I also use Sygic Navigation which runs perfectly)
2. The blue "route to travel line" is too thick and obscures the road detail

The Joying unit runs Android 10 and has 4Gb Memory and 64Gb storage.
Screen display is 1280 x 800
