      Hi Guys,
I’m still loving the app but the version 3.1.17 has dropped out on me several times today.

I have been on toll roads across Slovenia and Italy and found that as I approach the toll booths the sensors for the toll tags kill the app, this happened several times with the app but not whilst using Apple Maps.

I’m using an iPhone 13 with Apple CarPlay.

        @John-Davies-2

Sorry, it wasn’t 3.2.17 as I haven’t upgraded, it was the previous version.

@John-Davies-2, Are you saying that the app crashes consequently when you near the toll booth???

            Wow! That's harsh!

@John-Davies-2, I don't know if you are still where this happens, but it would be nice to know if that also happens when using offline mode.

              Download maps offline
Set the toggle to enable offline mode in the settings
Try to have it crash again

@Con-Hennekens that’s right, I have a tag so go through the tag lane - as normal the tag let’s out a beep and the barrier rises - as you drive past the barrier the tag let’s out another beep.

The app crashes somewhere around these 2 beeps.

It did it 4 maybe 5 times in one day, when I switched to Apple Maps it didn’t reoccur.

@Con-Hennekens I will be using the toll tag again on Friday, I will download maps and confirm.

@John-Davies-2, Great. My idea behind this test is that the RFID communication might interfere with Wifi and / or GSM and / or NFC signals. It may well be that dependency on bandwidth is a bit more critical for MRA then for some other apps. This way, we can rule that out.

                    • Test with offline mode enabled
                    • Test with wifi disabled
                    • Test with BT disabled
                    • Test with NFC disabled

Test this one after each other and see if the problem disappears at some stage.
                    Thanks!

Apologies but I haven’t been able to test this, we were on our way home and it seems that we had used our last toll road as our route came up through Germany.

Hopefully someone will be able to check this out.

For what it is worth, the app behaved perfectly, passing through French payage tolls, with an automatic tag.
