Android Lag vs iOS
-
Had a chance to run both Android and iOS versions of beta 181 side by side today:
iPhone 12 Pro - iOS 16.5. Nearly spot on with actual position and cursor position. Update if cursor position progressed smoothly with great auto zoom in and out.
Google Pixel 6 Pro - Android 13 Build TQ2A.230505.002. Same as the iPhone except for a 4 second lag between actual position and cursor position. I have used the GPS Status and Tools app as suggested in another thread but this does not change the lag. Vehicle speed does not change the lag also.
Real shame as the app was working well for me on both systems. Just the lag on Android - the system I use on my bike.

@Dave-J-0 I still have this issue but as bad anymore as you state. Hopefully it can be worked out by the Devs.

Thanks for sharing. We’ve filed a request with HERE for assistance on the Android issue. As it’s solved for iOS and we use the same implementation in Android this should not occur.
Sorry for the inconvenience and we will continue to try and improve it!

@Dave-J-0 4 seconds is what I calculated the lag to be, I hope this can be sorted.

@Corjan-Meijerink Not your fault as this does appear to be an Android specific issue. The difference is very obvious when you put the 2 systems running next to each other.
I am sure HERE will help. May be worth reaching out to Google as well as I read a number of reports that suggested Google may be aware of GPS-specific bugs. That said, I have not had any experience of Google from a dev perspective.
Nonetheless, the app is superb and, for me, I am still using the app for my travels.
