Route Transfer to Google Maps?
-
Hi everyone - I’m a new MRA adopter and still yet to use on the bike (T100). So far, I’ve got the Basic planner. Q… can I transfer a route to Google maps and then navigate using the Google Maps app?
Thank you for any advice, and safe riding to all.

@Jeremy-Palmer Welcome to the forum!
Uploading a GPX file to Google Maps is possible, but it can be tough (Google it). Why don't you make use of MRA's own navigation capabilities? The only thing that basic users cannot do is design routes using the map that is also used for navigation (HERE map). For that, you would need a Gold subscription. However, you can still navigate your routes, but you should be aware that there may be discrepancies between your created route and the navigated route. You are actually warned about this before you start navigating!You can still take advantage of the offer. I would definitely consider it! Pre-sale Lifetime offer

Thank you very much for your quick reply, Rob.
Will the GOLD subscription also provide voice prompts for navigating?
Do I also have to get the MRA Navigator? -
@Jeremy-Palmer It's just one app! The app Navigation will no longer be suported.

@Rob-Verhoeff
Oh! I see. That makes huge sense now, thank you.
And are there voice prompts to aid navigation when you start the route?
Thank you again for your replies. -
@Jeremy-Palmer and for that new app you will still need the Navigation (Next) subscription to start the actual navigation.
A Gold subscription is only related to the routeplanner.
See https://myrouteapp.com/shop/features (needs to be updates with the new app but the concept does not change) -
@Jeremy-Palmer Apologies for the misunderstanding... you have a 14-day trial period for navigation-part of the app. After that you have to sign up. It's worth every penny and more.

@Rob-Verhoeff
So … just to be sure. In Google Maps, I can create a route (nothing like as good as MRA, of course), start it and navigate with voice prompts.
What do I need to be able to do that with MRA? I don’t need to share, or have social media stuff, just a great planning and navigation tool.
Thank you again for your time with this. -
@Jeremy-Palmer I don't know how to navigate with GoogleMaps. Never done that.
For MRA, just sign up and start the trial, or better, buy the Pre-sale! -
@Rob-Verhoeff
OK, Rob. Many thanks. -
@Jeremy-Palmer, Google maps is great, for looking up addresses and A2B navigate to them. For route planning AND navigating them, you'd better forget about Google maps en enjoy the MRA planner and Navigation Next module in the MRA mobile app.

Many thanks, Con. lots of encouragement to sign up. Are there voice prompts during active navigation, please? -
@Jeremy-Palmer yes, voice prompts are provided.
