Good morning everyone!
Today we've got a very uncommon Friday Beta update
It will be available somewhere today most likely.I really do not have a lot to say about the update. As we are approaching the release this update contains important internal changes mandatory for the release.
Interesting change
- Clicking the compass resulted in odd positioning of the position indicator for some users. This has been fixed
Changes
- Navigation module cannot be accessed without a subscription
- Trials can be started from within the app for new users
- Minor quality of life improvements / textual changes
As you all have Navigation lifetime (pre-sale), you won't see the majority of changes.
The reasons however we wanted to get this update out to the Beta group is to make sure everything keeps working as expected!

I am still getting the notification âDifferent Map Recomendedâ occasionally?
I never use Open Street Maps at all.
Itâs always Here but occasionally Tom Tom for the windy Route Calculations.
Not a big deal as I always select Route as I know I have plotted it on Here Map.In the early days I was keen on running tracks now its always Routes due to the fact that I never have to interact with the screen accept where an unforeseen/unavoidable occurrence happens.

Did you create the route in the roundtour generator as base for your route?

Yes they are in my Downloads.
Thinking about it I am not sure if i opened this route from the Downloads or from the Routes option.
Iâll check that again later.

No this route was manually created in the Route Planner and definately using the Here map.

@Lynchy67 Delete the route from your downloads and then open it again. Will you still get the popup then?

That did the trick.
No Pop Up this time but i suspect it may come back again.

@Lynchy67 This feature has not been available in the app that long, and the routes that were in your downloads before that, sometimes dare to show this message (wrongly) ....
Delete all your routes from the downloads folder and put them back in. The problem is then solved
