Use of the search function

The home screen search seems to work well when the Internet is available. I have offline navigation turned on, downloaded maps and no Internet access. The search function fails on everything I try. Should I be able to search addresses and POIs that are in the downloaded maps?

@Doug-Robinson following, how do you turn on off line as i too have the same issue.
Old enough to know better, too stubborn to change

For searching you always need internet. The offline maps only apply to navigating.

@Old-Dog-Arwon the option is in Navigation settings / Functional / Offline navigation. This is in MRA Mobile Next.
