Maybe this is not correct section for such question, please move it in this case.
As I am planning to move from Tomtom to MRA Next, I want to buy a dedicated cell phone for this purpose. Could you suggest anything tested and worth its price? I don't want to pay too much, about 150-200 EUR would be great. It must be waterproof of course, robust, handling with gloves would be a nice option. I am considering Motorola Defy 2021, maybe some chinese stuff like Ulefone etc would be better?
      What do you think?

I did last year what you will be doing: get a dedicated rugged phone instead of a GPS device. I got myself a CAT S52 which I love and would not be ashamed of to use for daily use, because it looks really great. Somehow it got a lot more expensive after I got it (paid less then € 300,--) and it's successor S53 is in te over 500 range. For just over € 200,- you can get a CAT S42. If you look for sub 200 phones, you will need to look for Ulefone or Blackview. They are probably a bit less well serviced under warranty, I don't know.

I looked up the Motorola Defy. Looks like a great device for the purpose. It just seems to still have Android 10, but that will not be a problem.

@Con-Hennekens Thank you, I've heard about cat devices but I don't want to have it more expensive then Tomtom rider is 🙂 The only worrying thing in Defy is the display, seems not too good but for this purpose should be enough.

@Stanisław Just pay attention to maximum screen brightness. If it's to low, it will difficult to see the screen under direct sun light.

The cheapest TomTom Rider I can find is about € 300,- so there is margin 😉
Once you see the many advantages of a phone over a dedicates GPS unit, you would probably even pay more than for a cheap TT.

A rugged phone is infinitely better than a dedicated GPS

@b0hd1 wow, very impressing! Is there any special app for connecting with GS installed in Android?
