Route planner vs navigation
-
Hi, there is some inconsistency between route planner and navigation.
OpenStreetMap is the default route engine for the route planner while Here Map is the default route planner for the navigation. As a consequence planning route one have to remember to change proper route planner in the route planner, because the routes are often different.
I suggest to add possibility to choose default route engine in route planner. Moreover you introduced this year route segments in route planner, which are unusable in the navigation (if i didn't miss something).
Do you plan to introduce route segments for here maps route engine and thus to navigation? -
@Wojtek-1 You can select your default planning map in the route planner. Choose your map and tick Always use this map for new routes

@Nick-Carthew said in Route planner vs navigation:

Thank you, you're right. I missed it.
But it doesn't solve route segments problem. -

@Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master So they are useless in MRA Next, which uses Here maps and the route is recalculated by Next differerent way then was planned. Of course we can add additional waypoints to it but the question seems to be justified - is it planned to manage segments in Here maps as well? Of course in the future, I don't expect it now, just asking if it is possible.

@Stanisław We hope to implement segments in the HERE map too somewhere in the future

@Corjan-Meijerink Thank you, to be honest I never used it in MRA
