Fuel recommendations

I just came back from a long trip. I was watching the fuel recommendation in the left top corner of the display, and it is totally useless, unless I am doing something wrong.
I was traveling on the interstate (US) and the fuel icon showed the gas station in about 200 mi while I was by the exit to the gas station. This was happening in many cases. The funny thing is, the distance was changing between some odd numbers (10 mi, 18 mi, 220 mi, etc.) and was getting longer often while I was driving.
I do not know if this is connected to only some gas stations participating in the program, or I just set up something wrong in the application.

Please help!@UltraStar This function used to work flawless before some of the latest updates. The Devs have been notified about it, not sure when they'll be able to look into it.

Also, I do not know if this is a good place to mention, my battery usage (on the iPhone 11P with a generic wireless charger) improved. I am traveling a lot lately, and the 350 miles ride takes only about 25 to 30% of the battery. I do not know if this is a fluke, I did not change any hardware, or something was done in Here maps to improve the issue. -
