@Dave-J-0 Thanks for sharing!
As the error on Android does not indicate it's related to internet, can you check if the issue persists with all your routes? If I had to take a guess from behind my pc - the route you are trying to load on Android passes a region you haven't downloaded offline.Obviously something can indeed be wrong but I'm very sure the implementation on Android & iOS is the same so therefore I'm guessing it's related to the offline maps.

@Corjan-Meijerink I deliberately chose a route that maps were downloaded although I do go from England into Wales - I do this a lot because I am 30 mins from mid-Wales (awesome riding).
No problem with iOS just Android when I have selected a route at the start to navigate. Same thing happens with my other downloaded routes on Android which are just in England and local to me.
-
@Dave-J-0 I have had the same issue with my Android Pixel. I have deleted the maps and downloaded again. After that it works.
-
@DerRoteBlitz Tried that and still the same problem. Thank you for the suggestion.

When having no internet, clicking the routes button shows the message "Something went wrong" and the Downloads button is presented. It would be great if that text would change into "You have no online connection, click Downloads for offline routes".
Then if you go to Downloads and start a route, The same massage appears, with the sub text "Can't calculate route". Why not throw a question "would you like to go offline and try again?". Especially if offline maps are present.
-
@Con-Hennekens I could go with the suggestion. However, the current flow is brilliant on iOS and I would like the same on Android. It is just this one glitch that would be great if it could be solved. I like the fact that offline happens automatically and that I can see that I am offline by the icon.
-
@Dave-J-0 I agree with you because today I encountered this problem on Android. You only receive the message that something went wrong and then you self have to think what went wrong and how can I solve that. On iOS it gives you the solution and a button you need to click on to make it work.
-
@Dave-J-0, I was not aware that there is a different workflow on IOS. In that case they should be made equal indeed.
-
@Con-Hennekens The iOS workflow works brilliantly and Android should be the same apart from the glitch I encountered. The flow causes an error (when no internet) in not switching automatically to offline to allow calculation from the downloaded route and map like iOS does with the last build 202.

@Corjan-Meijerink just did another Download , and now the message was ok: regions downloaded and I was able to swipe it away.
