Waypoint numbering.
-
Yesterday There was something wrong with the waypoint numbering.
Waypoint 5 was Not reached but WP6 was shown already in the upper right Box.
-
@Jörgen it can be that the waypoint has been skipped previously if the automatic skip function was enabled
Edit: I’m pretty sure the waypoint was skipped (it’s not shown top left and there is no white arrow on the route line near the waypoint)
-
You mean manually skiped? No that wasnot the Case.
May be the WP was Not exact on the street and therefore scipped?
All WP was set by mra with the fill function.
-
@Jörgen if the automatic waypoint skip feature is turned on it can be skipped automatically due to numerous reasons
-
@Corjan-Meijerink But it's still not logical (visually) .... after the launch there will be a lot of questions about that ... my opinion. Prevention is better than cure by the way this a great app - respect !!
-
@MarcM, it is not completely illogical. If you deviate befor reaching 5, 5 will be skipped. But if you go back you can reach 5 while it was skipped. I don't think the previous app did it differently, nor does a Zumo.
-
@Con-Hennekens this has something to do with the new auto skip routines. I've never seen this on the old Navigation app but I have seen it several times in the current app. I've had it happen as early as WP2 and never understood why. I never deviated from the planned route.
-
@Doug-Robinson, I was generalising. If you did not deviate I see no reason to skip a wp indeed. Especially not if you haven't reached it yet. Are you on the latest beta?
-
This option may already be there, but the sound is not working properly at the moment.
But if this option is not yet available, is it possible to receive a voice message or a sound signal when a waypoint is automatically skipped.
Because of this addition, the chance that you will not notice the automatic skipping of a waypoint is a lot smaller.
-
@Con-Hennekens yes, I always keep up to the latest beta.
-
@Doug-Robinson, Is that route in your vicinity? Is it reproducible? Could you share the route URL (and make it public)? If so please indicate where the WP ws prematurely skipped. The dev Team might do a simulation.
-
@Con-Hennekens the first was WP2, message came up saying WP2 had been skipped before I got there. I don't remember where the second one was.

We were parked in a parking lot off the road when we headed out. Perhaps that had something to do with it.
