Spoken street names. The app will say turn in some distance but there may be more than one street close together, then suddenly it will say turn now. It would be so much less confusion if the street name was spoken so we would know what to look for.

Similarly – there on the display, at least with my ipad mini 6, the street name is only noted for the street you are on, there is no notification of the next street name to turn at. Also the turn arrow is right next to the street name you are on so it can look like a street name to turn at.

This is more a curiosity, the “My Triumph” app navigation uses this new (new to me) way of designating locations with “what3words”. I don’t know how widespread the usage is worldwide or in the USA, for that matter. Just wondered what your thoughts were.

With the MRA Nav set to mi/ft the spoken words still use miles/yards - needs to be fixed. The convention I have seen elsewhere is miles and tenths for over 1000 feet and feet for under 1000 feet.

With my Sena 10U and iPad Mini 6 the first word or two words of the spoken directions are cut off - would be nice to have the whole description.

With MRA Nav it sometimes does not announce a few turns in a route, however, when I load that route into my Garmin 595 all the turns are spoken.

A pet peeve - The “Home” issue – I am close to giving up on this one unless changes are made. MRA Nav does not allow for entering just a favorite location, and I did not have much luck using a short route from my house to a spot up the road… I just trying entering my address and letting the MRA route me from there. Apparently that only works if you follow the exact route picked out by MRA. With a regular GPS, if you push the home button and then go in another direction, it will recalculate and continue with the best optimized route to home – However, MRA continues to try and send you the original way it picked and seems to be trying to send you back to the beginning of the route or perhaps where you left the route. In fact, I was at my driveway and MRA was still trying to make me go back. My original trip was about 15 miles, when I got home I think it said I still had almost 30 miles to go. I can check that again but based on some of my experiences so far, it is probably consistent. With my regular GPS I use the "Home" button fairly frequently when in unfamiliar areas within 50 or so miles of home.

MRA still the best route building app around but MRA Nav has a ways to go if it is to be marketed as a standalone GPS. That said, if you follow the route exactly in MRA Nav, it does work fairly well.

Update: I switched back to my Garmin 595 for a trip I just took. Still using the Shoei Neotec 2 Sena 10U. I had the same word cutoff problem with it. The only difference was that occasionally it would work fine and not cut off the first word or two.

Therefore, it appears to be a Sena issue, not MRA Nav.

I had a previous version of the 10U for my Neotec 1 helmet using the same 595 without issues – so it may only be an issue only with the newer Sena version.

Sena suggested re-pairing – I don’t have a lot of confidence that will work but you never know…just like re-booting your computer, sometimes that works on a lot of issues.
