Changing orientation - route disappears

When using the web route planner on my iPhone. I thought it might be easier to use the phone in landscape mode but the screen didn’t Rotate but the route disappeared. But strangely as you panned around sections of the route reappear and then disappear again.

You have to close and reload the route to continue.
