No skip waypoint in offline mode
-
Hi, I was sometimes offline because of bad GSM signal. During the offline time, I could not skip waypoints.
Is this normal? -
Hello Jürgen,
Then switch to offline navigation then it works. That's why I'm on offline.

Hallo Jürgen,
dann umstellen auf Offline Navigation dann geht es. Das ist der Grund warum ich es fest auf offline stehen habe.VG

@Jörgen, If you have offline maps, that should not be a problem. It can just take some time for the app to conclude that there is no online signal.
-
@Con-Hennekens I tried 4 times and did not work, then about 10 min. later it jumped to the 4 later WP. Realy starnge behavier.
-
@Jörgen Same has happened to me too. You are not alone.
-
@Jörgen Just tried it out. It works for me as expected. Offline, I can skip waypoints without any issues. It doesn't matter whether I disconnect from the internet during the route or start the route entirely offline.

Yes Offline is the solution, and makes a lot easier on the go. Assumes that you have prepared the cards and settings correctly.
So it always goes very well !!

@Rob-Verhoeff, I suspect Jörgen means online, but with bad internet signal. Then it can take a while before the online calculation is done.
@Corjan-Meijerink, some time ago there were ideas about a better way of measuring the internet status. Is this still on the wishlist? Or has anything been implemented already?

To which WP it will jump is largely dependable on which WP is closest at the time if the calculation. I think if you have been running with quirky recalculations for ten minutes, you might have passed multiple route suggestions while it was calculating. That will indeed make it very confusing where it will jump to.
I suspect the round arrows were circulating in the upper left of the screen? (on the phone screen, don't know about how carplay shows this).

Correct.
Offline maps are available, and Internet connection was bad. At this point I needed to skip WP and it was not possible.
I tried some time but nothing happened, so I drove the skip area just with a zoomed out map. Later, the skipped WP was done automatically.
