What is the difference between car and motorbike in travel mode?

Hi,
what is the difference between car and motorbike in travel mode?
Or, which one do use when?
The others are obvious to me. -
@Jörgen
@Jack-van-Tilburg said in Route - Navigationsberechnung:There are almost no differences.
But if you use "Transport mode motorcycle", restrictions implemented by the road authority and reported to the relevant map supplier are taken into account during planning.
And it also has some disadvantages. See the screenshot as an example.
With motorcycle mode enabled you will be redirected to a restriction that applies on Saturdays and Sundays. But the road is open for motorcycles from Monday to Friday. -
@Jack-van-Tilburg OK, thanks. I understand. (I even replied to that, but this is a special case with working days)
So it applies to the planing mode. What about the Navi-App?
If I have an A to B curvy route, I can not switch between Car and Motorbike.
I am a bit confused.
Is it better to plan everything in Car mode? -
@Jörgen you can change modes.
Only motorhomes & trucks don’t support scenic routing.The difference is really simple: motor mode can send you over roads specifically for motorcycles. Then there are some more detailed differences such as ETA calculations and u-turn behavior
-
@Corjan-Meijerink OK. So what would you recommend to use if you do most planning on PC with self set WP? Car or Motorbike mode?
-
@Jörgen pick the vehicle you use
If you want to distinguish between shortest & fastest routing, you need to use car as that is not supported for motorcycles (yet, by HERE)

Does this also apply to the Web Planner?
-
@Jack-van-Tilburg yes!
