Since the latest version, the application informs you of a nearby fuel refueling.
1-is this within a radius of xx km
2-must the station be on the routehow does the algorithm behave to signal a station?
-
@Calibos, The function that suggests a fuel station along the route uses a fairly straight corridor of which I can't remember the width. If you add a fuel station that way, you can be pretty sure it does not deviate much from the route and is ahead.
If you use the "add stop" function from the menu, the distance is in straight line, and could be back the route or not along the route at all.
-
@Calibos Good question!
-
Nearby fuel stations are searched within 150 meters of the route. When searching for a category, based on the likelihood of that category being near the route we search somewhere between 500 meters and 5 kilometers. eg. we search for parking locations within 1km but within 5km for a camping. When searching in free text form, we don't search along the route but do sort them by distance to it. If no results are found along the route, that restriction is dropped and search is executed again automatically.

Yes and no, see above

@Corjan-Meijerink Is this not something that needs to be in the manual?
-
@Jörgen, This development is fairly new, you know that. I am sure it will hit the manual and support pages in due time.
-
To prevent misunderstandings, it was a recommendation to add this to the current manual. I am sure Corjan understand what I mean because I checked the first German version.
-
@Corjan-Meijerink within the search function, where numerous options pop up, a suggestion would be to have a simple indicator arrow (up, down, left, right), if possible, to indicate the direction to avoid situationis where the selected search is actually behind you.
-
@Jörgen no worries, I know what you meant
-
@GT-JWR thanks for the input!
Good thing to add, when searching along the route, we only search what’s ahead of you.The free text search doesn’t take tour route into account so that can also be behind you

I wasn't expecting so many results from my question but I see that it ultimately arouses quite a bit of interest.
In any case, thank you for these very precise answers.
And yes for me the search on my route should only indicate the results that are in front of us.
On the other hand, for free search, you must search within a radius of x km.
