MRA Android misbehaving on-the-road
-
Two riders were following the same MRA route. One was using an iPhone and live data. I was using an Android with a "downloaded" route and no SIM at all.
The iPhone had no problems, but my downloaded route took me on a circular route through a village that was off the main road, and then wanted to go back along the the main road in the direction from which we had come. Obviously something was very wrong, but what?
I have looked at the downloaded route in great detail and can see no reason why this should have happened. I cannot share the downloaded route, but the original is at
https://www.myrouteapp.com/en/social/route/8302797?mode=share. The problem occurred about 2km after way point #12 and the village was called "Orwell"My real concern is that this may happen on a much longer loop than a quick detour through a village, and I need to have confidence that this couldn't happen again.
All help gratefully received!

@Christopher-Austin sounds like for some reason you missed a waypoint and MRA was trying to bring you back to the missed WP. Quick fix is to skip the WP. If next WP is displayed (top right corner of screen) then tap on it and then tap the pop up or long press the next WP to quickly skip it.

@Christopher-Austin Check whether all via points are correctly placed on the road, e.g. WP 2 is not placed correctly but your coffee stop WP 8 puts it on the road before the entrance to Amici Coffee. The road (entrance) is not recognized as a public road in Here and is not indicated at all on the TomTom map and on Google Maps.

@Paul-Pals yesterday I was out riding. I had a WP on the driveway into the Big Apple. MRA missed the WP on the way in but picked it up on the way out. I have no idea as to why.
